RM x SFMOMA: Spotlight on BTS Member RM's Art Collection at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art
Overview RM (Kim Namjoon), the leader, main rapper, and songwriter of global K-pop phenomenon BTS, is a passionate art collector and enthusiast. In a groundbreaking collaboration, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) will present RM x SFMOMA—the first museum exhibition ever to feature artworks from RM's personal collection. Curated by RM himself alongside SFMOMA co-curators América Castillo and Hyoeun Kim, the show brings together pieces from RM's thoughtfully assembled holdings with works from SFMOMA's permanent collection.
This exclusive U.S. presentation highlights modern and contemporary Korean art in dialogue with international works, exploring shared themes, resonances, and visual connections. Many of the Korean artworks on view have never before been exhibited publicly in the United States.
