ILLIT - NOT ME

The music video for ILLIT’s “Not Me,” released on February 6, 2026, as a surprise visual for the B-side track from their first single album Not Cute Anymore under BELIFT LAB, is a refreshing, grounded slice-of-life showcase that strips away polished idol glamour to reveal the group’s authentic, everyday selves. Directed with a paparazzi-inspired, candid-camera style—using high-angle zooms, pixelated extreme close-ups, and shaky handheld shots—the video follows the five members—Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha—through ordinary moments: carrying heavy laundry bags, balancing grocery bags and coffee cups, lugging dolls and personal items across a sunlit parking lot, and weaving between parked trucks and cars like regular people running errands. The raw, unfiltered visuals contrast sharply with the song’s confident pop rhythm and repetitive “That’s not my name” hook (a nod to The Ting Tings), emphasizing the theme of rejecting labels and embracing one’s true identity beyond public perception. Moka’s lyric-writing contribution shines through in the empowering message, while the girls’ natural smiles, casual outfits, and effortless interactions create a relatable, dreamy yet honest coming-of-age vibe that resonates deeply with fans.
